Keith Kopecky
On Tuesday (Oct. 4) at approx. 4:30 p.m., The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office responded to #47 Windridge Dr, Dunlap, TN, on the report of a shooting.
Deputies were dispatched to the home at 47 Windridge Dr. around 4:30 p.m. after the husband of the household called to report he had shot his wife. 63 year-old Keith Edward Kopecky was taken into custody immediately upon the arrival of the deputies without incident. His wife was 64 year-old Marcella “Marcy” Renee Ervin found to be deceased inside the home.
Ervin has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville, where an autopsy will be performed, and Kopecky has been arrested and charged with Criminal Homicide.
The victim and suspect are the only two who resided in the home, and the sheriff’s department has been told they were married, although she did not take his last name.
