New Bill Introduced in Tennessee Over Abortion

The Tennessee House of Representatives has another new bill to debate. The bill would make it a crime for an adult to help a pregnant minor get an abortion without parental permission.

The crime is called ‘abortion trafficking of a minor’ and would be a class C felony.

It also provides that a person who commits the crime could be held liable in civil court.

If passed, those convicted of breaking the law would be charged with a Class C felony, which can carry up to a 15-year prison sentence and up to $10,000 in fines.
