Tennessee and Alabama are among the states with the highest rates of Long COVID in the United States, according to new data released by the CDC.
The study examines health issues that have affected individuals for three months or longer after they were infected with the virus.
Health problems reported include fatigue, respiratory symptoms, and neurological symptoms. Overall, 6.9% of adults reported experiencing Long COVID symptoms in 2022 but the data wasn’t the same for each state.
Alabama had the second-highest percentage with 9.8%, and Tennessee was seventh at 8.9%.
