Last year’s Jasper Highlands Open Golf Tournament raised $16,250! After discussions with school counselors who know the children’s needs, the money was distributed evenly to Marion County Schools.
Through this event, they provided gifts for nearly 100 students at Whitwell Schools, Jasper Elementary, and South Pittsburg Elementary, and they donated 100 comforter sets and pillows to Sleep in Heavenly Piece (which builds and provides beds for less fortunate children).
This year’s event is scheduled for May 15, 16, and 17 at Lake Tansi in Crossville.
They have reserved enough tee times for 24 golfers. Like last year, there will be early afternoon tee times on May 15 and morning tee times on May 16 and 17. The cost has not gone up—it is still only $400! This includes accommodations, 54 holes of golf, prizes, and dinner on Thursday night.
