Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office Receives Donation from Project K-9 Hero

The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office received a donation from Project K-9 Hero in Whitwell, TN, on Thursday, March 28, 2024, to purchase and train a dual-trained K-9 for narcotics detection and tracking. The sheriff’s office plans to purchase the dog within a few weeks. Soon after, the training of the K-9 and the agency’s chosen handler will begin.

Sheriff Bill Phillips says Project K-9 Hero’s partnership has assisted in meeting this fundamental goal. He looks forward to seeing the results of their upcoming four-legged partner very soon.
