Newly released data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD) documented that unemployment rates have decreased in 12 counties across the state. Ten counties recorded rates that did not change from month to month, while 73 counties did see a slight uptick in their unemployment levels.
Williamson and Moore counties both had rates of 2.2% in March.
Area counties:
Bledsoe County’s rate remained the same at 4.3%.
Grundy County went up from 3.5 in February to 3.8% in March
Marion County went down slightly from 3.1% to 3%.
Sequatchie County rose up from 3.1 in February to 3.2% in March
Hamilton County also went up from 2.7 to 2.9% in March.
