South Pittsburg Baseball Earn Berth into the TSSAA State Tournament

The South Pittsburg Pirates baseball team is heading back to the state tournament next week in Murfreesboro. The Spring Fling begins on Tuesday.

The 20-13 Pirates were able to knock off East Robertson 6-4 at home on Thursday.

Luke Rector was 1-for-2 at the plate with 2 RBI. He also pitched all 7 innings to earn the win. He struck out 7 in the huge win.

Alex Phillips added 2 hits to go along with Britton Case, Jace Stone, Kamden Wellington, Jake McGullon and Brett Mashburn all had one hit.

South Pittsburg will play at either Eagleville or Rockvale High School. Their opponent is not known at this time.
