A Sequatchie County substitute teacher that had worked less than a week has been indicted, accused of assaulting an elementary school student.
Sarai Pierce, Director of Sequatchie County Schools, says they were made aware of the allegations against Thomas Aldean on May 3rd.
After the accusations arose about Aldean assaulting a student on the campus of Griffith Elementary he was removed from campus and an investigation began.
During the investigation it was discovered that the substitute had “acted inappropriately toward a student.
At this time, this is the only information that has been released.
