Area Road Construction Update as of June 27

MARION COUNTY SR-156 (STATE HWY. 156) TDOT Maintenance eastbound from LM 14.2 to LM 14.4: East bound lane is shut down due to a sink hole. Currently west bound is open with traffic turning left RESTRICTIONS: Until further notice 24 / 7

MARION COUNTY I-24 from east of Big Fiery Gizzard Creek (MM 146) to near SR-27 (US-72, MM 152): The contractor will be working on I-24 EB and WB from MM 146 to MM 152 to perform resurfacing operations. Work will be performed Sunday nights through Friday nights from 7 PM – 6 AM each night. No work will occur on Saturday nights. This work will require single lane closures in each direction leaving one lane open to traffic each way. THP and truck mounted attenuators will be on site during the work.

SEQUATCHIE COUNTY SR-111 sinkhole and culvert repair at LM 3.3: The contractor is repairing a sinkhole and culvert on SR-111 near L.M. 3.3 in Sequatchie County. The Northbound lanes have been merged and shifted on to a Southbound Lane to move around the sinkhole work area. One lane of the Southbound traffic has been closed leaving one lane open. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.

BLEDSOE COUNTY SR-28 (MAIN ST.) TDOT Maintenance northbound at LM 15.62: Right Lane is currently shut down to one lane. investigating a possible sink hole. Further information when available. 6/25/24 24 hours /7days

BLEDSOE COUNTY SR-30 (STATE HWY. 30) TDOT Bridge Inspection southbound from LM 10.35 to LM 10.36: A routine inspection of Veterans Memorial Bridge on SR-30 over the Sequatchie River in Pikeville will be conducted between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for flaggers who will direct traffic through the work zone.
