On Sunday, July 7, 2024, around 10:30 AM, Dunlap Fire responded to a residential fire on Branch Road.
The single wide mobile home was completely destroyed when firemen arrived, but information provided to deputies on scene was that a resident was unaccounted for at the time. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire and check the trailer for any occupants. It was confirmed that the trailer was unoccupied.
At the request of Chief Norman Hatfield, the Sequatchie Sheriff’s Office was requested to investigate the cause of the fire, which is unknown at this time. No other injuries were reported on scene.
