The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission (TFWC) discussed a proposal to increase prices for boating registration, hunting, fishing, and sportsman licenses, said the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).
According to the Tennessee Secretary of State, annual boating registration fees currently range between $15 and $59. However, they would increase by 22%.
Sportsman and Lifetime license fees, which range from $165 to $1,976, would rise by 12%.
The majority of price tags for yearly hunting and fishing licenses, ranging between $6-$165Â according to the TWRA, would jump by 28%.
The Commission will vote on the package in December, and any cost increase will become effective on July 1, 2025.
This would be the first rise in license prices in 9 years.
