Dunlap Fire Department was dispatched to assist Lewis Chapel VFD with a brush/woods fire on Wednesday night in the neighborhood of Pascoe Cemetery Road. No structures were damaged, and no injuries were reported. The Tennessee div of Forestry was needed to bulldoze fire breaks to contain the fire.

The Commissioner of Agriculture Burn Ban has been issued until further notice for Franklin, Grundy, and Sequatchie Counties at the request of the county mayors.
