Sequatchie County continues to have a burn ban due to various factors, notably the dry weather conditions that led to 58 fires in the past month, requiring fire department interventions to safeguard properties and structures.
These fire departments consist of community volunteers balancing their firefighting duties with their daily lives. In consideration of the safety of both Sequatchie County’s residents and these dedicated volunteers, the burn ban was enacted in conjunction with numerous other counties in Tennessee.
