SVEC Celebrates 85 Years

Sequachee Valley Electric Co-op recently celebrated its 85th Anniversary during their annual meeting. It was a true celebration of community, connection, and appreciation. The theme, “There wouldn’t be an us without a you,” resonated throughout the evening, reminding members about the heart of SVEC.

The night was filled with fun and fellowship, from enjoying food, ice cream, great music from local favorite Silver Queen, and taking home a unique 85th Anniversary Lodge cast iron skillet.

They were honored to have community partners like Senator Janice Bowling and Mike Knotts from the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association in attendance.

A highlight of the evening was SVEC, in partnership with Tennessee Valley Authority, presenting Mr. Norm Flake of Sleep in Heavenly Peace of South Pittsburg with a $10,000 grant in recognition of their incredible work in our community.

SVEC’s President/CEO Mike Partin also shared reflections on SVEC’s journey and an exciting vision for the future.
