Fire Destroys Dunlap Home

On Friday afternoon, the Dunlap Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Branch Road. When firefighters arrived, they found a home about 50% involved. They entered the residence and confirmed that no one was inside.

Mutual aid for additional manpower was requested from Pikeville VFD and Southend VFD. Lusk VFD. Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department and Sequatchie County Rescue Squad’s rehab truck also responded.

The residence was a total loss. The Red Cross was called for emergency assistance to the residents. There were no injuries. The cause is under investigation—pictures by FF Snyder.
