Law enforcement from Tennessee and Alabama joined forces on Friday night near the state line in South Pittsburg to promote safer driving. The event called Hands Across the Border focused on reducing distracted and impaired driving. One hundred and sixty officers were on hand to enhance road safety, save lives, and increase public awareness about the dangers of impaired driving. Remember: DON’T DRINK & DRIVE, always keep your eyes on the road, and buckle up.
Officials wanted to extend their gratitude to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Alabama State Patrol, and all agencies in Jackson County, Alabama, and Marion County. Together, they are committed to ensuring safer roads for all.
A special thank you also goes out to The Hooch for hosting the officers for a meal provided by Western Sizzlin in Jasper.
