Drivers traveling on I-24 in Grundy County should be aware of upcoming roadway activities that will impact traffic. On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time each day, Tennessee Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close the right lane on I-24 East from mile marker 130 to mile marker 131 for pavement repairs on the right shoulder.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution as they travel through this area and anticipate potential delays. This work is weather-dependent. Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances cause delays, it will be rescheduled for a later date. Uniformed police officers will be present to assist with traffic control and law enforcement.
