BLEDSOE COUNTY SR-30 and SR-443, the grading, drainage, stream relocation, widening, and resurfacing on Summer City Road: The contractor will perform grade work and widening on Summer City Road in Bledsoe County. This work will narrow the lanes at LM 2.0 and LM 4.3 and will leave both lanes open to traffic. Please slow down and use caution when driving through the work zone.
GRUNDY COUNTY SR-56 from Montgomery Street to Des Church Road resurfacing: The contractor will have periodic, non-continuous shoulder or lane closures to install traffic control devices and signage as needed. Flaggers will be present during the lane closure operations, and at least one lane will remain open at all times. The contractor will have infrequent lane closures during daylight hours from 5AM to 9PM for additional early project operations as needed.
MARION COUNTY SR-2 (US-HWY. 41) TDOT Maintenance both directions from LM 29.9 to LM 30: Crews will perform an open cut to the roadway in Marion County to replace a 24” drainage tile under the road. Message boards will be placed on the Haletown side of the roadway and the Hamilton side of SR-2, warning drivers of the closure on Monday, July 14th, from 6 am-4 pm.
MARION COUNTY SR-156 repair of bridge over Tennessee River, LM 15.2: The contractor will be performing painting operations and structural repairs on the SR-156 bridge over the Tennessee River in South Pittsburg. This work will require a traffic shift leaving both lanes open to traffic. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.
MARION COUNTY SR-27 (US-72) resurfacing from the Alabama State Line (LM 0) to north of SR-156 (LM 2.7): The contractor will be performing paving operations on SR-27 EB and WB in Bledsoe County from the Alabama state line to north of SR-156. This work will require single lane closures leaving one lane open in each direction during daytime work hours. Please use caution when driving through the work zones.
SEQUATCHIE COUNTY SR-8 (RANKIN AVE.) Utility Work both directions from LM 13 to LM 15: Flagger assisted lane closures on SR-8 (Rankin Avenue) between Hwy 28 / Main Street S and Wilhoit Street. Motorists should reduce speed and be prepared to stop. Trucks, arrow board/message boards, flaggers, and barrels/cones will be present, through 07/16/25 from 9 am – 2 pm.
