Just before 7 PM Friday, July 25, 2025, the Dunlap Fire Department was dispatched to assist with a 2-vehicle head-on collision on Hwy 127 at the intersection with Sprouse Ridge and Old Union roads.

The occupants were out of the vehicles before Engine 3 and Rescue 1’s arrival, so firefighters assisted with traffic on Hwy 127. The roadway was closed for patient treatment and an investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Puckett EMS transported one person with injuries.

Sequatchie County sheriff deputies were first on the scene and assisted THP.
