Brandon Patterson
A man who submitted a falsified high school diploma to obtain employment as a law enforcement officer has pleaded guilty to the offense.
Former Grundy County deputy and Pikeville Police officer Brandon Patterson had been scheduled for a jury trial on July 30, facing four charges: (1) falsifying education and academic records; (2) official misconduct; (3) criminal simulation; and (4) theft of property valued between $2,500 and $10,000. He entered a plea agreement with the state, pleading guilty to the first charge in exchange for dismissing the other three.
Judge John Cam Cameron sentenced Patterson to 11 months and 29 days of supervised probation.
