SVEC Opens EV Charging Stations in Dunlap

SVEC President / CEO Mike Partin

SVEC is excited to announce the installation of two new fast EV chargers in downtown Dunlap, located near Citizen’s Tri County Bank and the Sequatchie County / City of Dunlap Chamber of Commerce.

These chargers are part of the Fast Charge TN Network, a statewide initiative in partnership with the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, and Seven States Power Corporation, helping to make long-distance EV travel easier across Tennessee and beyond.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, County Executive Keith Cartwright and Mayor Dwain Land highlighted the chargers’ benefits for both locals and visitors, offering travelers the opportunity to stop, charge, shop, and support local businesses while enjoying historic downtown Dunlap.

“This new charging location does more than charge cars; it connects Sequatchie County to the Fast Charge Network and helps put our region on the leading edge of the new electric economy,” said SVEC President / CEO Mike Partin.
