Tennessee Titans Mr. Football semifinalist Ja’Mychal Buckner ran 20 times for 146 yards and three touchdowns. Caden Jones was 7-of-10 passing for 150 yards and two scores. Goldsmith finished with 75 receiving yards, and Dayon Cooper, also a Mr. Football semifinalist, added 48 receiving yards with a touchdown.
Coalfield (11-2), which began this season with back-to-back losses, has won 11 straight and will host (12-1) South Pittsburg, winners of 12 straight this Friday at 6 PM.
Zaiden Humphrey averaged nearly 13 yards per carry while rushing for 140 yards and three touchdowns for the Warriors. Mason Mays added 96 offensive yards, including 67 on six rushes, and a third-quarter score.
Third-ranked Marion will travel to No. 8 Eagleton Academy in Maryville on Friday. This week’s kickoff is at 6 PM CT. Eagleton enters the game after holding off 7th-ranked Bledsoe County, 24-23.
