Local Police Chief Thanks Other Departments for Their Help

Chief Kenneth Seagraves of the Powells Crossroads Police Department had a domestic call at approximately 10 pm on Thursday, February 19. This resulted in a vehicle being taken and a brief pursuit. Thanks to the technologies available through the 12th Judicial District Drug Task Force drone program, the suspect was apprehended hiding in a heavily wooded area in just a few minutes with no resistance.

Seagraves wants expresses his gratitude to the 12th Judicial District Drug Task Force, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Whitwell Police Department, and the Marion County Dispatchers.

The resources that the 12th Judicial District Drug Task force brings to small and large agencies are immeasurable. The drone program has located a lot of suspects already, but most importantly, it has located citizens in need. This is of great importance when looking for individuals such as Alzheimer’s patients and missing children. Seagraves said he cannot thank all the men and women that help on a regular basis enough.
