On Saturday morning Haletown Fire and Rescue held their monthly training. It was a demonstration of fire behavior in a structure fire.

Later in the morning Haletown Fire and Rescue to a vehicle fire just below the entrance to Riverdance restaurant at River Gorge causing a disruption in traffic flow.

Upon arrival the Jeep had a fire under the hood and was put out by the owner. Firemen deployed a hand line and cooled the engine off. After getting the engine temp down to an acceptable limit, they helped the owner with towing the vehicle to the side of the road. Opening both lanes of traffic to flow.
