Senior citizen Richard didn’t want to be delivering Starbucks… he had to. Now, thanks to a customer in Manchester, Tennessee and a viral fundraiser, his story is capturing hearts nationwide.

Nurse Brittany Smith noticed on her Ring doorbell camera that delivering her DoorDash order seemed really challenging for the driver, Richard.

Curious and concerned, she reached out on social media and learned he had returned to work after his wife lost her job.

The couple was struggling to cover monthly expenses and medications, leaving little room for savings or retirement.

Moved by his story, Smith set up a GoFundMe page to help ease their financial burden. The fundraiser quickly went viral, raising over $335,000 in just a few days. Smith was also able to donate and extra $19,000 that people had sent her money via Venom and CashApp to give to Richard. Click here to donate: https://gofund.me/f3f0687c2

Smith hopes the fundraiser will allow Richard to step back from the delivery job and enjoy a well-earned retirement.
