DUNLAP, Tenn. — Organizers are once again preparing to help local students start the school year with the supplies they need through the annual ‘Give A Kid A Chance’ community event in Sequatchie County.
The event, organized by the Sequatchie County Health Council, will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. until noon at Harris Park, located at 245 Cedar Street in Dunlap.
The drive-thru event will provide free backpacks filled with school supplies and connect families with valuable community resources ahead of the new school year.
According to organizers, the program is designed to ensure children throughout Sequatchie County begin the school year prepared and ready to learn. Community members are being encouraged to help spread the word and support the effort through donations and volunteer assistance.
