Tax-Free Weekend will begin at 12:01 am on Friday, July 31; it will end at 11:59 pm on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
All clothing, school supplies and computer purchases during this time will be exempt from sales tax. This includes in-store and online purchases.
What’s included?
Clothing
General clothing apparel that costs $100 or less per item is exempt. This can include shirts, pants, socks, shoes, dresses, etc.
Clothing priced at more than $100 is not exempt. Jewelry, handbags, and sports and recreational equipment are not tax-exempt.
School Supplies
School and art supplies priced at $100 or less per item are tax exempt. This includes items like binders, backpacks, crayons, paper, pens, pencils and rulers. It also includes glazes, clay, paints, drawing pads and artist paintbrushes.
Computers
Computers for personal use costing $1,500 or less are tax exempt. This includes laptops and tablets.
Non-exempt items include storage media, such as flash drives or compact discs, individually purchased software, printer supplies and household appliances.
