Injury Crash in Dunlap

At 7:33 Friday night, the Dunlap Fire Department was dispatched after receiving to a report of a single vehicle accident on Russell Street near the Mexican restaurant.

Dunlap Police had arrived on the scene and confirmed an accident with entrapment. The vehicle went off the roadway and hit a tree on the right front with the left side in the ditch.

Firefighters used Hurst battery powered tools to be able to free the driver who was turned over to Puckett EMS for transport. The driver appeared to have sustained serious injury.

Dunlap Police Department will be investigating the accident.
