‘Operation Southern Slow Down’ is taking place this week in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina to combat speeding. Law enforcement will focus on excessive speeders to prevent crashes, injuries, and fatalities.
According to a 2020 Tennessee Highway Patrol study, speeding-related crashes are four times more likely to be fatal. The operation started Monday and runs until Sunday, July 19.
