Deputies and animal welfare officials are investigating a suspected animal hoarding case at Caroline Ruth Atkins’ property in Bledsoe County.
Atkins, previously charged with animal cruelty in 2019 after authorities recovered 170 dogs and 60 cats from her Pikeville home, is again under scrutiny.
More than 160 dogs and more than 40 cats were reportedly on the property.
