United Ways of Tennessee announced that the State of Tennessee is investing $500,000 into the 211 network, which connects people to resources like food, housing, utilities and emergency support.
The money will support the Tennessee 211 Collaborative, a network of five regional contact centers across the state.
Last year, Tennessee’s 211 network handled 187,000 calls and made 193,000 referrals. Residents can get help by visiting TN211.com or calling 211.
