Only three months after announcing its closure to the public, the family operating Ketner’s Mill—a historic water-powered gristmill in Whitwell—plans to reopen the property this Friday. The decision comes alongside several adjustments, as the family previously cited legal claims from individuals allegedly injured during visits as the main reason for shutting down.
Here are some of the new restrictions:
Public access is only allowed from dawn until dusk
If you bring in trash, you must take it back out with you; clean up after yourself
No glass containers
Stay off and away from the dam on the Sequatchie River
