Late Sunday morning, Dunlap Fire Department was dispatched to a fire beside a single wide mobile home that was threatening to set the residence on fire.

The residence was located near the intersection of Cherry and 2nd street. Dunlap Police arrived first and reported that a person was attempting to extinguish the fire with water from a garbage can. Engines 1 and 3 and Tanker 1 arrived and extinguished the brush pile which was too close to the residence.

There were no injuries, but the residence did suffer some exterior damage.
