Marion County deputies say Jacob Russell Terry opened fire on them while they attempted to serve an arrest warrant on September 10.
The warrant—issued a day earlier in Hamilton County for Sexual Battery—led deputies to a home on Dixie Lane on Suck Creek Mountain. As they tried to make contact, Terry allegedly shot five times through a window with a .44 Magnum. He surrendered before backup arrived.
Terry faces Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment charges in Marion County and is currently in jail.
