According to new data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, county unemployment rates dropped in most of Tennessee’s counties in November. Eighty-nine of the state’s 95 counties recorded lower rates for the month.
Unemployment remained the same in three counties in November and increased in three counties.
Area Counties:
Marion County was 4.5 percent in October, and the unemployment rate dropped to 3.9 percent in November.
Grundy fell from 5.5 to 4.1 percent.
Sequatchie County dropped from 4.3 percent to 4.1.
Bledsoe’s unemployment rate was 5.5 in October, dropping to 5 percent in November.
