According to new data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, county unemployment rates dropped in most of Tennessee’s counties in November. Eighty-nine of the state’s 95 counties recorded lower rates for the month.
Unemployment remained the same in three counties in November and increased in three counties.
Area Counties:
- Marion County was 4.5 percent in October, and the unemployment rate dropped to 3.9 percent in November.
- Grundy fell from 5.5 to 4.1 percent.
- Sequatchie County dropped from 4.3 percent to 4.1.
- Bledsoe’s unemployment rate was 5.5 in October, dropping to 5 percent in November.
- Hamilton County fell from 3.6 to 3.3 percent.
