Earlier this year, the TSSAA Board approved a new “one-time transfer rule” for non-athletic reasons that would not punish student athletes regarding eligibility.
The TSSAA board fears lawsuits could come if the rule is written into law.
Some lawmakers are now calling for more oversight of the TSSAA, intending to give parents and students more power.
The lawmakers said transfer rule talks will continue this summer, and they are even considering “dismantling” the TSSAA.
