Man Rescued from Foster Falls

On Saturday around 3 p.m., emergency personnel responded Foster Falls Park for a search and rescue for an injured man. Foster Falls Volunteer Fire Department, Park Rangers, Marion County Rescue, Coalmont Cave & Cliff Rescue Tracy City Fire & Rescue, Sewanee Fire Rescue and Puckett EMS responded to the scene.

After a lengthy hike into the trail system, the injured male subject was located. Due to the terrain and the nature of the injury, the patient was packaged for extraction and hoisted approximately 60 feet up a rock ledge to the bluff to allow for a safer and faster removal from the park.

The patient was then transported by Marion County Rescue via Tahoe back to the parking area where Puckett EMS was standing by for further medical evaluation and transport.

All units cleared the scene around 9:30 p.m.
