The Scottsboro Police Department has established a dedicated drug unit to address drug-related concerns within the city.
Two officers have been assigned to the unit on a full-time basis, accompanied by K-9 Amp, who will also serve full-time to assist in detecting and removing illegal narcotics from the community.
Police Chief Greg Godfrey stated that the unit will be regarded as a top priority for the department to effectively target and eliminate illegal drugs in the city.
