Marion County Schools has announced a schedule change for the end of the final week of school for the 2025-2026 school year, affecting all schools in the district, including campuses in Jasper, South Pittsburg, Whitwell, and Monteagle.

According to Director of Schools Dr. Mark Griffith, Friday, May 22, 2026, will now be a remote learning day for students.

Report cards will be sent home with students Wednesday afternoon. School officials are asking parents not to come to schools during the day Wednesday to pick up report cards, as they will be distributed directly to students before dismissal.

Any report cards not sent home Wednesday will be available for pickup beginning Thursday during school office hours.

District officials also noted that Thursday will remain a staff development day, meaning there will be no classes for students.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor their school social media pages or Remind App or other communication channels for their child’s specific school for any additional details or updates regarding report card pickup procedures.
