A pickup truck was destroyed in a late-night fire Tuesday on Interstate 24 in Marion County.

The Haletown Volunteer Fire Department responded to the vehicle fire shortly before 10 p.m. on June 23. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the truck fully engulfed in flames.

Crews worked to extinguish the blaze, but the vehicle was a total loss.

No injuries were reported, according to the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department.

Firefighters remained on scene for about an hour and had the fire extinguished before returning to service shortly after 11 p.m. The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
