Congratulations to our very own Tim Yates of Whitwell High School for placing 2nd Place statewide in the Washington Youth Tour Short Story Contest, with his story standing out among thousands of entries from across Tennessee. He was awarded a $2,000 scholarship from Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative and the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association. What an incredible accomplishment!
When he’s not serving as a student leader, playing football, or competing with the Golf Club, Tim can often be found running the landscaping business he started with a friend or working on fast two-wheeled machines. After graduation, he plans to attend Tennessee Tech to study electrical engineering.
