Superintendent Dr. Mark Griffith explained that the consideration of higher prices stemmed from the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association’s (TSSAA) recent increases in compensation for referees and clock operators—referees now receive $130 per game and clock operators receive $100 per game.
At present, there will be no changes to ticket prices: students will continue to pay $5, adult football tickets will remain at $8, and tickets for other sports will stay at $7 for adults.
