Machines at Drake State
This week, Marion County School District representatives had the pleasure of touring the Leidos Advanced Training Complex and see the machines Drake State in Huntsville, Al will be donating for future student use.
“As a rural school district, we’re always needing resource, partners, and different things of that nature. And I think we’ve just established a new partnership with Drake State,” said Mark Griffith, Marion County Superintendent of Schools. “Being able to utilize the equipment that’s going to be donated, will help our student body actually get a foot in the door down here [in Huntsville]. We certainly appreciate this and [are] glad for the opportunity.”
This partnership helps connect students with advanced technology, hands-on learning opportunities, and a greater awareness of the educational and career pathways available through Drake State. The school system looks forward to working together to strengthen workforce development and create new opportunities for students across Marion County.
