SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — A call regarding an unwanted person at a Scottsboro residence led to the arrest of a 42-year-old woman on drug charges Sunday morning, according to the Scottsboro Police Department.
Police said officers responded to a residence on Lisa Lane at approximately 6:59 a.m. on June 14 after receiving a report that an unknown woman had entered a home without permission before leaving and moving to a nearby property.
Upon arrival, officers located the woman and identified her as Amber Brooke Lusk, 42, of Scottsboro. During the investigation, officers reportedly observed signs of impairment and obtained consent to search a purse belonging to Lusk.
According to police, the search revealed methamphetamine. Officers took Lusk into custody and transported her to the Scottsboro City Jail. Authorities said additional drug paraphernalia was discovered during the booking process.
Lusk was charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Additional charges related to the alleged trespassing incident are pending, according to police.
Jackson County Jail records show Lusk was booked on June 14 by the Scottsboro Police Department and was later released on June 15. Jail records list charges of possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia.
