DUNLAP, Tenn. — Republican gubernatorial candidate John Rose is scheduled to visit Sequatchie County this week as part of his statewide campaign.

The Sequatchie County-Dunlap Chamber of Commerce announced that Rose will make a stop during his “Tennessee True Tailgate Tour” on Friday, July 31, at 2:30 p.m. CDT at the Citizens Tri-County Bank Training Center, located at 15699 Rankin Avenue in Dunlap.

According to the Chamber, the event is intended to provide local residents with an opportunity to hear directly from Rose, learn about his vision for Tennessee, and ask questions about issues important to voters.

In announcing the event, the Chamber emphasized that it does not endorse or oppose candidates for public office. Instead, the organization said its goal is to encourage civic engagement by giving citizens opportunities to hear from candidates and make informed decisions at the ballot box.

“The Chamber does not endorse or oppose any candidate for public office,” the organization said in a statement. “Our role is to promote civic engagement and provide opportunities for citizens to make informed decisions at the ballot box.”

The Chamber also encouraged residents to learn about all candidates seeking office before casting their votes.

The event is open to members of the public. According to campaign materials, the stop is part of Rose’s statewide “Tennessee True Tailgate Tour” as he campaigns for governor of Tennessee.
