The Scottsboro Police Department reports that a man was arrested earlier this week following a traffic stop near South Broad Street and Highway 72.

During the stop, the driver was identified as 46-year-old Glen Michail Womack.

The department says that while they were speaking with Womack at the stop, they discovered that he had an active felony warrant out of Fayette County with statewide extradition.

Officers then located multiple illegal substances and prescription medications both in the vehicle as well as on Womack’s person, the department says.

He was taken into custody and charged with:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (x2)
• Illegal Possession of Prescription Drug

Womack was transported and booked without incident before being transferred to the Jackson County Jail.
