The Princess Theatre in South Pittsburg welcomes The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra to the stage on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
The legendary Glenn Miller was one of the most successful of all the dance bandleaders back in the Big Band and Swing Era of the 1930s and 1940s. Miller was also well-known for entertaining our troops during World War II.
Despite his untimely death after the UC-64 Norseman aircraft he was flying vanished over the English Channel en route to Paris to entertain Allied Troops in December of 1944, the popularity of Miller’s music lives on even to this day in songs like “In The Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade,” “Pennsylvania 6-5000,” “Little Brown Jug,” “A String of Pearls,” and of course “Chattanooga Choo Choo.”
Today, the 18 member ensemble continues to play many of those original Miller arrangements both from the civilian band and the AAFB libraries.
Ticket presale for Princess Insiders began on Thursday.
