The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office says they are suspending Chief Deputy Brandon King along with Sergeant Shawn Norris. The sheriff’s office is conducting an internal investigation following a state audit that found “deficiencies” within the department. King and Norris are currently suspended from duty pending the internal investigation.
The sheriff’s office says they are investigating allegations made about several of its employees.
Grundy County Sheriff Heath Gunter is at an in-service for new sheriffs this week. Gunter took over as sheriff in September of 2022.
