Grundy County Teachers Receive Big Increase in Pay
Grundy County schools began classes on Monday, and teachers there have received a significant pay raise to get the school year started.
The Grundy County School Board recently voted to increase teacher pay by $5,576.
This puts the starting salary for new teachers in the county at $46,000, which exceeds the state-mandated minimum salary by $4,000.
